Lines the Game app good for
I caved and spent money on a game, which I try not to do. I drained 60% of my battery yesterday playing this game! Watching the different colors race each other throughout the puzzles is hypnotizing. I havent gotten all of the trophies yet but hopefully by the time I do there will be even more levels. I have never played a game quite like this, and I absolutely adore it!
This was an amazing game! After finishing all of the levels, I was sad, you should make even more colorful and stunning levels. The only problem is, I found out a great strategy, you should make them harder to pass! Thanks for the amazing game!
I love, love, love this game! I finally have gold trophies on all 250 levels, although it took me a few months of playing sporadically to get there. Will there ever be more levels? All I can do now is replay levels and try the daily challenges.
A trick to keep in mind is that mathematically, sometimes the puzzles are impossible to win. When this happens, back out of the puzzle, and press play again. Voila, the puzzle resets!
This game is fast, challenging, and mathematical, but not in a classroom way. There are angles in some of the geometric shapes that help you figure out where to place your points; in other puzzles, its not obvious at all. The best piece of advice I got while playing this game was from my son: he said that "they (the opposing dots) are going to get some portion of the puzzle; you just have to try to get more of it." It seems simplistic, but I had a mindset (at first) that I didnt want to give away any more than I had to. Accepting that they will get some of the space made it easier, somehow. Hope that makes sense.
Great game and I highly recommend it!
I didnt know what to expect but this is really good. It makes you think and is fun too. You can play a quick round or two or spends hours on this. Easy to learn; some levels are quite hard (yet fun).
Now Im further into the game and I still really enjoy it. I "discovered" Night Mode recently and this really makes some level "pop".
Very unique puzzle game. Everyone should give it a try. Im very glad I spent the dollar.
This is a great game. It is pretty simple but its a lot of fun. Essentially, you try to cover more of the shape then your opponent. When I bought it, I played it for 2 hours!
Some bad moments
"Puzzles". Right. If starting locations are randomized, then its not a puzzle, you can just start again until you get a setup that lets you win. This isnt even a real game, let alone puzzle. Pathetic cash grab of an app.
Its a good challenge, until you get to the high sections. The computer lines seem to go faster than the ones we selected.
So we did a video of the game in slow motion and found, our lines went slower. The placement of the lines / dots does matter, however. Some puzzles have the same number of dots to start and we dont know what colour we should be. Until you loose one time than you can see your colour on knife., etc.
This is an enjoyable game until you have completed all of the puzzles. Then your only option is to keep playing them over and over and over and over . . Not fun - in fact mind numbingly BORING.
I love this app and would give it five stars IF there was less movement between rounds. All the movement makes me nauseous.
This is a great game and Id give it five stars except for a few minor gripes and some suggested improvements. I think anyone reading this will know the gist of the game, so Ill dive right in...
1) The biggest gripe I have is that I think many of the puzzles are not winnable. The dots on the puzzle are positioned randomly and if they happen to be in positioned optimally, the puzzle isnt winnable. If you think a puzzle isnt winnable, you can use the back arrow and generate a new puzzle, but I rarely use that option.
2) Another problem has already been mentioned--the colors can be difficult to distinguish, especially the browns and reds. The dots should always be distinctly different colors.
3) After a puzzle is done, you can;t review what happened. There should be a way to replay the last puzzle so that you can review what happened, especially if it was a loss.
4) It would be nice to have a way to play the same puzzle again after a loss. There are usually several options for attacking a puzzle, it would be nice to be able to compare different strategies by plaing the same puzzle multiple times.
5) Dot placement repositioning. It can be difficult to place your dot exactly where you want it. Probably half of my losses are because my dot wasnt placed precisely where I wanted. There should be a way to adjust the dot after placement, or to remove a dot and place it again.
6) The game designers could have an algorythm to test a puzzle to determine if its winnable and how winnable it may be. If the puzzles is not winnable, it would be regenerated. By "how winnable" I mean how many optins there are to win. If a puzzle is winnable only if a dot is placed within a few pixels, then the puzzle would winnable, but extremely difficult.
the game is great the way it is, with a few adjustments, it could be exceptional.
...and not getting other business done! Addicting, clean lines...had to remove one star because theres no setting for the music, and all my music apps stop once I open this game.
